The 35th Wychcroft Music Residential Weekend

Phoenix Concert Band is excited to return for its much-loved twice-yearly Wychcroft Music Residential Weekend, taking place on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July 2026.

Set in the peaceful surroundings of Wychcroft House, this summer gathering is one of the highlights of the band’s calendar. Over the course of the weekend, players come together with friends from other bands to rehearse and explore new music in a relaxed and supportive environment. It’s a chance to step away from the usual routine, strengthen musicianship, and enjoy making music purely for the joy of it.

The weekend begins on Saturday morning and runs through to Sunday afternoon, with a full programme of rehearsals, ensemble playing, and social activities—including the ever-popular evening quiz. With all meals provided and plenty of time to connect, it’s an immersive musical experience that continues to inspire players year after year.

Whether returning or attending for the first time, participants can look forward to a rewarding and energising weekend of music, friendship, and summer spirit.
